Is regulation of the Cosmetology Industry important to you? The CIABC surveyed industry professionals in 2008 and their response was a resounding YES! The CIABC has advocated re-regulation since the act was repealed in 2003. We have lobbied, offered assistance to Government, and have one of our Board Directors working closely with the current committee reviewing regulation training standards. After 5 years of intensive efforts, all indicators imply that re-regulation is still very much uncertain. The CIABC is the loudest voice and biggest proponent for re-regulation.
